URBAN SAFARI SHOOTOUT with Edelyn Westwood, M. Photog.

Come and join me for an afternoon of fun, adventure, and photography!

We’ll visit some of my favorite spots to create portraits in Detroit. Everything from scenic park settings to grungy industrial and graffiti settings.

I’ll cover lighting with OCF, “finding the light” suitable for portraits, posing, and analyzing what makes a good spot for creating a portrait.

BRING YOUR GEAR!!! I would like everyone to shoot during this program. I’ll find a spot, setup a portrait, cover some lighting and posing, create a portrait, then let all of you go at it and photograph. I’ll have lights we all can use, but, if we do any HHS then you’ll have to bring lights that work for you.

This will be a very fun and interactive afternoon/evening. I will have some models, but if you have someone in particular you’d like to bring.....let me know.

Important notes:

You must be registered to participate in this workshop.

Meet at 1:30PM at Wally Spice Photography, 13363 15 Mile Rd, Sterling Heights, MI. There is plenty of parking.  We will then carpool to the first location.

There will be NO CLASSROOM time. This will be a highly interactive mobile workshop.

DON'T FORGET YOUR GEAR.  Bring camera, and any portable lighting you want to practice with. I will be be bringing lights for my Canon equipment, but it is often best to perfect the use of what you have.

This a PPA Continuing Education event providing current PPA members a merit for attending.  Be sure your PPA number is included in your PPM member profile.
